The Way

There are so many religions these days like Scientology, New Age Religion, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Baptist and the list goes on and on. It’s easy to be overwhelmed and confused who is right and who is worthy to be followed. Let me make things clearer and easier for you.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
(John 14:6). When you read a sentence and you have the word, the, it simply denotes something/someone as definite. In other words, Jesus is saying that He is the Only way to the Father and no one else. He is It.

Let us take a closer look at the words of  Jesus:

The Way – this means that Jesus is the only Way to the Father. No other religious person can save you no matter how pious he is. Salvation is found in Him alone. Your religion, righteousness or good works can’t save you either. If it can, God would not have sent His Son to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind.
Romans 3:23  says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  This is the reason why Jesus came, to serve as the bridge between us and a perfect God. Without Him, we wouldn’t have any direct access to the Father.

The Truth – Jesus is the Truth. He is perfect and therefore cannot lie. Everything that he says is the truth. His Word is the source of truth. If you trust your truth elsewhere, then you are misled. I know that people nowadays have different beliefs of the truth. Whatever you believe in doesn’t negate the truth of the Bible, and you are not exempted in whatever shape or form on the coming judgment because you believed in a certain kind of  truth.

Don’t be contented with Sunday worship service and hand-me down information by preachers, though that is good, but do your own diligent personal Bible study and find out the truth for yourself. You will grow faster and the Lord will reveal Himself more and strong in your life as you seek Him through His Word.

The Life – Jesus is Life. If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, then you have eternal life. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. Even if you die, you will be resurrected just like how God the Father raised Jesus from the dead on the third day.

To help you start on your journey, I’ve listed below the following verses for your study.

Romans 10: 9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 2: 8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Romans 10:13
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 3:5
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

So the next question is, how do you get saved? I’m glad you asked.

You say this prayer (you can say it in your own words but the context is the same)
Note: You have to say this sincerely in your heart not just intellectually.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I know that You are Lord and the Son of God. I’m a sinner and you came to die for my sins and was raised on the third day. Forgive me of my sins and I accept you as my personal Savior. Come into my heart and lead my life from now on. Jesus thank you for saving me. Amen.

Once you’ve said this prayer, I urge you to be a part of a Christian church and ask the minister to baptize you.

Once these 2 things are done, I congratulate and give you a warm welcome to the family of God.

I would love to interact with you and if you have questions about this post, make a comment or use my contact form.

‘Till here and see you next time.
